Anita Chu is an associate at Ralls Gruber & Niece and a graduate of Golden Gate University, School of Law, where she graduated in the top five percent of her class. While in law school, Anita was recognized for her legal research and writing skills. She received a Witkin award for the highest grade in her legal research and appellate advocacy classes and won a best brief award in the ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition, San Francisco Regionals.
Anita’s practice focuses on construction and commercial litigation matters but she has handled many different aspects of litigation. While clerking for a district attorney's office, Anita argued motions to suppress and presented preliminary hearings. Prior to joining Ralls Gruber & Niece in 2016, Anita worked for another firm where she handled construction defect, habitability, and personal injury claims. Anita's experience includes settlement negotiations, discovery, law and motion, depositions, and arbitrations.
In her spare time, Anita enjoys binge watching TV series and spending time with her dogs JJ (Maltese) and Rocky (Yorkie).
